The Way, The Truth, & The Traveler
Episode 1: Introduction
All right. Welcome to the Way The Truth and the Traveler. I'm super excited to get started here today. Tell y'all a little bit about the reason behind this podcast. The name for it, what it means, the topics we'll cover, and a little introductory episode here. Just introduce myself. My name is Wesley Williams. I'm 35 years old. I've been married to my amazing wife, Megan, for 14 years. We have two kids, a daughter who is eight years old and a son who is six years old. I travel all across the United States for work. I work in the railroad industry, cover a lot of states, and a lot of places. Wherever we go for work, we take our fifth wheel RV with us and the wife and kids always come along. Seems to be a new and exciting adventure just about every day. We're from the South, which I'm sure you guys have figured out by now by my accent. My wife tends to give me a hard time about that. But anyway, I wanted to start this podcast as a platform to share my faith and help everyone with some everyday issues that anybody can encounter. I myself have encountered quite a few issues in my lifetime. Some before I put my faith in Jesus and some after. I can tell you it's been a lot easier after I believe that Jesus gives us the Bible, which is God's word. To take it and seek advice from and apply it to our lives to help us find the answers to these problems. I'm not anyone special. I'm not a scholar. I'm just your typical, normal, average, everyday blue collar American guy. But I know that we can all find the answers in God's word to our problems, and I just wanna point you in the right direction. I want to cover topics on marriage and raising kids, and just everyday life, anything you can think of and how to take the Bible and apply it to our everyday life and find the answers that we're all looking for. As far as the name of the podcast goes, Jesus says in the Bible, in John chapter 14, verse six, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus is saying the only way to heaven is through him. He is the way his words are, the truth. And that if we'll believe him, follow him and put our faith in him. He will give us life, eternal life that is. And reading this passage, the name of the podcast just came to me.'cause I wanna show people that Jesus is the way, the only way His words are the truth and the only truth. And I'm just the traveler telling the story about it all. I hope to cover numerous topics through this podcast. Some episodes will have guests that are either friends, family, or just some really great people I know who want to share stories of their faith and their experiences. All of our answers or topics will come from scripture in the Bible and real life experience. The one thing I can't say enough is that any of us that are on here, myself, my friends, my family,. We don't do this for money, fame, or acknowledgement of any kind. At the end of the day when you listen to this, if you don't remember our names or anything about us, it won't offend us in any way at all. We just want you to remember the name of Jesus. His words to you from the Bible and how to apply it to your lives. If there are any questions you would like me to try to answer or a topic you would like discussed or covered, you can always reach us by email at Truth Traveler podcast@gmail.com. We will do our best. Remember, we're not perfect. Jesus is the only one who is, but we'll sure try to point you in the right direction. We will see y'all next week with a new episode where I'm going to give my testimony and talk about how I came to put my faith in Jesus Christ as my savior. We hope to have you listening in and always remember, love God, love your neighbor, and trust Jesus with everything you do.
